TAIZABURO NAKAMURA
After II WW he developed and popularized battodo , among others by creating the final version of Toyama-ryu kata and inventing happo giri toho.
Grandmaster Nakamura held following ranks and titles in martial arts: Nakamura-ryu soke, battodo 10 dan hanshi, jukendo 8 dan hanshi, tankendo 8 dan hanshi, kendo 7 dan hanshi, kyudo 4 dan, judo 3 dan (in 1930s).
He passed away on 13th May 2003 in the age of 92 years, retaining physical fitness and impressive swordsmanship skills.

TETSUNDO TANABE
He created sport and safe samurai swordsmanship chanbara - spochan, which is practiced in over 40 countries. He was born in 1942 on Pallau island. Grandmaster Tanabe was teacher of many outstanding masters of Japanese fencing, such as: Tabuchi, Hosokawa, Hataya. Besides being Goshindo soke and kaicho of the International Sports Chanbara Association he holds following ranks and titles in martial arts: battodo 9 dan hanshi, jukendo 7 dan, iaido 7 dan, tankendo 6 dan, kendo 6 dan.

TAKAYUKI KUBOTA
10 dan Gosoku-ryu karate, soke. Born in 1934 in Kumamoto, Japan. President of the International Karate Association. Soke Takayuki Kubota is a master of the following martial arts: karate, kobudo, taiho-jutsu, kendo, judo (5 dan), aikido (5 dan). He is creator of Toshin-ryu kenjutsu, kubojitsu and Shindo Tsue Jutsu, inventor of weapons: kubotan and kubotai.
